Then the library committee of the college did questionnaire investigation about library service for the public to Japanese nursing university and nursing college. We considered about opening the library to the public on the basic of our experience and the information. Toward the libraries of nursing university and nursing college, it is demanded to open to the public. The people who received admission service of library have been limited to experts, teachers of the university, nursing staff, medical staff and nursing students. Further, many libraries have not given lending service to the public. As the library began lending service to the public, congestion in library was avoided. Because the people who received the service did not stay in the library for a long time. But lending service to the public lets the library staff work harder. We consider that we need two points in order that many libraries may begin lending service.
