We want to realize the image of the death by nurses that contact with patients in the terminal period many times, and we acted questionnaires about the image ofpatient's deaths and the image of deaths of our own for 143 nurses of general hospitals in Joetsu City. Result: 1. There are trends to the positive image for the image ofpatient's deaths and the negative image for the image of deaths of their own. 2. Wesuggest that the age, the experience of nursing, the experience of nursing for patients in terminal period, the belief, the participating in training programs decide the image of the death. And we suggest that the looking at deaths of our ownobjectively and the looking at patients' deaths subjectively are important on nursing. 3.
