Observation of the ORA-HOUSE UNAZUKI prompted us to consider the following three points. ① A nursing home of good quality for the aged should be subsidized from national funds, even if it exceeds the legal minimum standards. ② A aged people should be able to choose their preferred accommodation from various living places. ③ Assurance of each person's independence and close relations with family or friends are important factors. The results of investigation of the propose house are summarized as follows. ① In addition to a building fund, physical and mental stamina were required. ② Important factors in our life should be considered. ③ Several problems remained, including building materials and the task of clearing snow from the road in front of a house.
