The list of main activities associated with our research is provided. 1. "SUMAKEN NEWS" published in the form of"Housing Bulletins," volumes 20 through 25. 2. "SUMAKEN FORUM" 6 and 7 were held. 3. A field trip to the welfare facilities and housings was conducted. 4. Research findings on the housing environment were published and disseminated. An evaluation of the main activities reported for 2001 revealed the following results. 1. Any investigation and choice of housing for the elderly and disabled population must also include a through consideration of each person's life-history. 2. Additional research must be conducted to determine ways to overcome the difficulties of snow removal.},
